The Dive Electronics S-1700 canister dive light is suited for every kind of recreational, technical and cave diving. It performs equally well in both warm and cold water. Despite its very compact dimensions, the light’s serious optical performance allows it to be used not only for recreational diving but also for demanding cave and technical dives.

The canister is removable. A spare canister can be purchased to allow a quick swap when the main one is discharged.

The beam pattern is ideal for technical and cave diving. The housing is made from very durable engineering plastic, and the LED heat sink is made from a hard aluminium alloy. The metal parts of the light are protected by a hard-anodised coating.
The Dive Electronics S-1700 dive light offers a wide range of features. Most notably, it includes a microprocessor system that tracks the rechargeable battery’s capacity and shows the remaining energy (battery level indicator), as well as operating-mode indication. All controls run through a single magnetic switch on the light head. To turn the light on, press and hold the button for more than 2 seconds; a short press cycles through the operating modes.

When the battery is deeply discharged, the light does not switch off abruptly but instead enters emergency mode. Brightness then gradually decreases over the course of an hour.

To activate SOS mode, press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds.

The sidemount cable output version is built to order, 3-5 business days.
