Top 9 best diving spots in the world

Опубликовано 19.05.202619.05.2026

Practically everyone has a bucket list of things they would like to do in this lifetime. And if you want to find out which diving spots should be included on that list, then read this article.

Cape Kri — Raja Ampat, Indonesia

A real coral garden is located here, the likes of which you have definitely never seen before. It is teeming with abundant marine life: manta rays, sharks, barracudas, and giant eagle rays. More than 370 species of fish can be found in these waters.

Barracuda Point — Sipadan Island

This is a world-class Malaysian dive site. Its distinctive feature is the huge schools of barracudas. Getting captivated by watching them can lead to finding yourself far out at sea. And the only way to get noticed is to shine a light towards the shore or the boat. Therefore, before heading out to this cape, you need to buy a diving torch.

In addition to a large number of barracuda schools, which resemble a tornado in shape, you can encounter sea turtles, bumphead parrotfish, and coconut crabs here.

Blue Corner — Palau, Micronesia

Experienced divers and real thrill-seekers come to this place. Diving along sheer coral walls is popular here. A strong current complicates diving even further and delights extreme sports fans.

And perhaps the most attractive feature is the fabulous diversity of marine life, including sharks.

SS Thistlegorm — Egyptian Red Sea

The wreckage of a cargo ship filled with motorbikes, train carriages, and trucks is the main attraction of these parts. It was sunk in 1941 during a bombardment by British aircraft.

The depth here is not too great, around 30 metres, so it feels like you can do without torches when diving. But since night dives are particularly popular here, it is still worth getting a diving torch.

Some divers have been lucky enough to spot giant moray eels in these waters.

Yolanda Reef — Red Sea, Egypt

This is a unique place where you can see three reefs at once in a single dive. Shark Reef reaches a depth of 800 metres, while its shallower part is home to soft and hard corals. Yolanda Reef is also an underwater plain featuring a spectacular coral garden. Quite nearby lies a sunken cargo ship, which gradually slid down to 200 metres after the shipwreck.

Professionals note that there is a good current for drift diving here.

SS Yongala — Queensland, Australia

Underwater lies the wreckage of a ship that stretches for 109 metres. Unfortunately, the ship can only be inspected from the outside; entry into it is prohibited. The site is protected by the Historic Shipwrecks Act.

Publicity aside, there are incredible coral formations here and you can meet many wild inhabitants: tiger sharks, manta rays, turtles, and even bull sharks.

Great Blue Hole — Belize

This is an incredibly deep hole fringed by coral reefs. Despite the depth, excellent visibility is maintained underwater, but in the evening and at night you still cannot do without a diving torch.

The best time for diving is from April to June. The reef’s depth is 143 metres, and it is home to many sharks, including mako sharks.

Big Brother — Egyptian Red Sea

To dive in this spot, a diver must have more than 50 open water dives. This restriction is due to the fact that there can be a strong current here. The appearance of sharks here is considered a common occurrence.

The location of the islands creates ideal conditions for the growth of corals of various shapes.

Night Manta Ray Dive — Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

A huge amount of plankton lives in these areas. Since it is food for manta rays, an encounter with these rays is practically guaranteed.

Sometimes the currents here can be strong, but on a good day you can watch a marine show that you will remember for the rest of your life. Do not forget that this is a night dive, so take a look at our online diving torch shop and choose the right one.
